Invest in yourself
The very first time we meet is called the initial assessment. This session typically lasts about 75 minutes and is an opportunity for me to learn about you and help you identify and set personal goals to work on during therapy. There is a little bit of paperwork involved in getting started in therapy and the initial assessment is when we take care of all of that and map out a plan for your therapy. Out of network billing is available for this service.
We will likely meet for individual sessions either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on your personal needs. During each session, we'll work towards your goals of counseling and often times we'll identify ways for you practice what you've learned in session between sessions. Typically, the longer you've been coming to therapy the less frequently we meet. Out of network billing is available for this service.
Counseling for couples
Depending on the needs of each couple, we will meet weekly or bi-weekly and reduce the frequency of counseling sessions when necessary. When working with a couple, each person attends the therapy sessions together and collaboratively we work towards the therapeutic goals of the couple or family. Out of network billing is available for this service.
Options for financial assistance
For individuals or couples needing a sliding fee scale for therapy services, I offer a limited number of spots on my caseload to help meet these needs. I partner with a company, Open Path Collective, that connects counselors with potential clients needing a reduced fee. To learn more and connect with me through Open Path, click here.
What about insurance?
My practice is private pay, meaning I do not directly bill insurance companies for therapy services. For individuals interested in using their health insurance for counseling, I partner with a telemedicine company, Amwell, to provide online video counseling. Additionally, I can provide clients with a superbill each month to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement through your out of network benefits.
