About me
My name is Trisha :)
I work with adults and am especially passionate about working with women, high achievers, creatives, and fellow helping professionals. With fourteen years of experience, I've witnessed some remarkable transformations: people moving from feeling lost and alone to discovering deeper self-connection and creating lives they're truly proud of.
My Approach:
I believe in transparency. I'm not here to "fix" you, but to empower you to reconnect with yourself and explore what's holding you back. We'll work collaboratively, using a blend of compassion and evidence-based practices to uncover the root of your emotional burdens and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
Why Choose Me:
I understand the unique challenges faced by high achievers, creatives, and helping professionals.
I share my own journey of self-discovery on my blog, fostering a sense of authenticity and connection.
My personal background includes experiences like yours, allowing me to empathize deeply and offer relatable insights.
I'm passionate about creating an enriching therapeutic space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
As a Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner, I can offer my clients more than talking about their trauma or trying to sensitize themselves to their trauma.
More About Me:
When I'm not helping others, I find joy in building a life filled with meaningful connections, delicious food, cozy mornings, and adventures in nature. I’m an advocate for social justice problems and marching to the beat of your own drum. My journey hasn't been without its hardships, and as a person with anxiety and developmental trauma therapy has helped me rewrite my own narrative and find my inner peace and power. I believe everyone deserves the same opportunity to create a life filled with joy and purpose.
Credentials:
I received my master's degree in Counseling Psychology at The University of Southern Mississippi in 2012. I am a member of the Virginia Counseling Association. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Virginia, Alabama, and Louisiana.
